Okemos basketball is a cut above the rest because of our highly skilled and experienced Coaching Staff Our Head Coach has over 25 years of experience coaching basketball at the high school collegiate, and AAU levels. He has won numerous championships and coached several all-state players. Our assistant coaches have extensive experience playing and coaching basketball at the high school and collegiate levels. They are all passionate about the game and have a wealth of knowledge to share with our players.

We also have access to some of the best facilities in the state. Our home court is the newly renovated Okemos high school gymnasium, which features eight regulation-size basketball courts a weight room, locker rooms and offices for our coaching staff We also practice at the Michigan State University Breslin Center one of the premier collegiate basketball facilities in the country.

Our program is dedicated to developing well-rounded student-athletes. In addition to honing their skills on the court, we stress the importance of academics and becoming involved in their community. We are proud to say that 100% of our players have graduated from high school and gone on to attend college. Many of our alumni have gone on to have successful careers in Professional Basketball or other fields.

Since the late 1990s, Okemos has been a school known for its Basketball Program The team has won conference championships district championships, and state championships They have also been nationally ranked and have appeared in the NCAA tournament

The program is led by head coach Bob Stoll, who has been with the team since 1998. Under his guidance, the team has had tremendous success. In his tenure, he has led the team to five conference championships, four district championships, and two State Championships

The team is also known for its rigorous training program Players often train year-round to ensure they are in peak condition for the season. This dedication to their craft has helped make Okemos one of the top basketball programs in the country.

Okemos Basketball is more than just a Basketball Program it is a program that gives back to the community. Every year, Okemos Basketball hosts a free basketball clinic for kids in the community. This is an opportunity for kids to learn the game of basketball and to also meet the Okemos basketball players and coaches. In addition, Okemos Basketball also hosts an annual free throw contest for kids in the community. This is an opportunity for kids to showcase their shooting skills and to also win prizes. Lastly, Okemos Basketball donates money and time to various charities in the community.

-Sterling Heights native Greg Kelser was a Standout Player for Okemos in the late 1970s. He went on to star at Michigan State University where he was named the 1979 National Player of the Year. Kelser enjoyed a successful professional career, playing for several NBA teams
-Lansing native Sam Vincent also starred at Okemos in the late 1970s. He played collegiately at Old Dominion University where he was named the 1983 National Player of the Year. Vincent went on to play professionally in Europe and Australia.
-Ann Arbor native Steve Smith played for Okemos in the early 1990s. He went on to have an outstanding college career at Michigan State University where he was named a two-time All-American. Smith enjoyed a long career in the NBA, playing for several teams.
--Draymond Green is one of the most recent Okemos Basketball Alumni to enjoy success at the collegiate level. Green played for Okemos in the late 2000s before going on to star at Michigan State University He was named a consensus first-team All-American as a senior and helped lead MSU to a National Championship in 2010. Green has gone on to have a successful career in the NBA, winning multiple championships with the Golden State Warriors

10.Okemos Basketball Future

Okemos Basketball is a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.

The varsity team is currently ranked 10th in the state of Michigan and 3rd in their conference. The team is led by their star player senior Alex Hoadley, who is averaging 17 points per game Hoadley has already committed to playing basketball at the University of Michigan next year on scholarship.

The Junior varsity and freshman teams are also having successful seasons. The junior varsity team is 12-2 and the freshman team is 10-4.
