Introduction
The Oneonta baseball team has a long tradition of excellence, dating back to its founding in 1877. The team has won numerous championships over the years, including 14 league titles and 3 State Championships Oneonta is also home to the Baseball Hall of Fame which honors the sport’s greatest players and contributors. Every year, thousands of fans come from all over the country to watch the Oneonta Baseball Team play.
Oneonta’s Baseball History
Since the late 1800s, Oneonta has been home to a variety of baseball teams The first professional team, the Oneonta Yankees, was established in 1940. Since then, the city has been home to a variety of semi-professional and amateur teams. In recent years the Oneonta Outlaws have become one of the most successful collegiate summer baseball teams in the country.

Oneonta baseball has a long tradition of success, dating back to the early days of the game. The program has produced some of the game’s greatest players including Hall of Famers like Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron Today, Oneonta baseball is still one of the premier programs in the country, consistently producing top-level talent.

Oneonta has a rich baseball history The game was first played in the city in 1868, and the first professional team, the Oneonta Unions, was formed in 1870. The Unions were one of the original eight teams in the National Association of Base Ball Players, which later became the National League
Oneonta has also been home to many great amateur teams over the years. The Oneonta Stags were one of the most successful amateur teams of all time, winning five National Championships between 1925 and 1941. More recently, the Oneonta Outlaws have been one of the top collegiate Summer League teams in the country, winning four league championships since 2000.
The Oneonta baseball tradition is alive and well today. The Outlaws continue to compete at a high level, and the city is also home to a number of youth and Adult baseball leagues. Every summer, hundreds of games are played at parks all around Oneonta, carrying on a tradition that has lasted for over 150 years.

The Oneonta baseball experience is a unique opportunity to see some of the best baseball players in the country compete. The Oneonta Outlaws are a collegiate summer baseball team that competes in the elite New York Collegiate baseball league (NYCBL). The Outlaws have a long tradition of success, winning the NYCBL Championship in 2006 and 2007.
