The team’s success is due in large part to the efforts of its Head Coach Charlene Morett. A former Olympian and World Cup player, Morett has been at the helm of the Penn field hockey program since 1984. Under her leadership, the Quakers have won three national championships and thirteen Ivy League titles.
Morett’s players have gone on to achieve great things both on and off the field. Many have gone on to play for their country’s National Team while others have found success in coaching and administration. We are proud to have won 28 Ivy League Championships, 11 NCAA tournament appearances, and to have produced 3 Olympians. Our program has also been recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as a 5-time Scholar Team of the Year.
