The Point Park University women’s Basketball team defeated Lincoln Memorial University 63-59, in the semifinals of the 2018 NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship
This is the second straight year that Point Park has advanced to the National Championship game. The Pioneers will take on either Midland (Neb.) or Presentation (S.D.) in the Championship game on Tuesday, March 20 at 10:45 a.m. ET.

The Point Park University women’s basketball team picked up a Big Win on the road Saturday, defeating Lincoln Memorial University, 66-57.
Leading the way for the Pioneers was sophomore guard Abby Gritzko, who scored a game-high 22 points. Gritzko also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists in the victory.
Senior guard Juliana Theodoridis added 14 points and eight rebounds for Point Park, while junior guard Shelby Drotar chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.
The Pioneers (3-3) will be back in action on Tuesday, November 27 when they host West Virginia Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m.

The Pioneers (4-2) trailed by five, 32-27, at halftime, but outscored the Railsplitters (3-3), 45-32, in the second half to come away with the victory. It was Point Park’s second win in a row.
Junior guard Brianna Hawkins led Point Park with 19 points. She made three 3-pointers and was 8 of 9 from the Free Throw Line Hawkins also had four rebounds and three steals in 33 minutes of action.
Freshman forward Klarissa Barber scored 18 points on 5 of 8 shooting from the field and 8 of 8 from the Foul Line Barber added nine rebounds and two blocked shots in her 32 minutes on the court.

The Point Park University women’s basketball team improved to 4-4 on the season with a convincing 70-49 road victory at Lincoln Memorial University on Saturday (Dec. 8).
Point Park, which never trailed in the game, led by as many as 25 points in the second half as it pulled away for its third win in its last four games. The Pioneers are now 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the Kentucky collegiate athletic conference (KIAC).
Lincoln Memorial dropped to 1-7 overall and 0-6 in the KIAC with the loss. The Railsplitters are still looking for their first conference win of the season.

The Pioneers (8-4) had a balanced scoring attack with four players in double figures led by junior guard Asia Robb with 15 points. Robb also added five assists and three steals in the game.
Point Park never trailed in the game as it took the lead for good at 4-2 on a jumper by freshman forward Nakayla Lancaster just 2:18 into the contest. The Pioneers built the margin to 15-5 on a layup by Robb at the 12:53 mark, but LMU answered right back with an 8-0 run to get within 15-13.

The Pioneers jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter and held at least an eight-point advantage the rest of the way. Point Park shot 51 percent from the field for the game and made seven 3-pointers. The team also had a season-best 20 assists on its 28 made baskets.
Leading scorers for Point Park were senior shooters Alex kernel {14 points} and Malia DuVall {12 points}. Both players made three 3s with DuVall going 3 for 5 from deep and Keener going 3 for 6. Junior post Molly Wilson scored 11 points, senior guard Jennifer Judkins added 10 points, and freshman guard Maya Joseph chipped in nine points.
