Portage Baseball is divided into two divisions, the North and the South. Each division has its own playoffs and Championship game The winner of the North Division plays the winner of the South Division in the Portage Baseball Championship Game.

The Schedule of Portage Baseball

The Portage Baseball League is a non-profit organization that has been providing recreational baseball in the city of Portage for over 50 years. The league is run by volunteers and is supported by player registration fees and fundraising activities.

The league offers baseball programs for players of all ages and abilities, from Tee Ball to Seniors. There are three divisions in the league: Minor (ages 7-9), Major (ages 10-12) and Intermediate (ages 13-15). Each division plays a regular season schedule of approximately 20 games, followed by a single elimination playoff tournament.

Tee Ball division plays on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Games start at 6:00 pm. Minor division games are played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with games starting at 6:00 pm. Major division games are played on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with games starting at 6:30 pm. Intermediate division games are played on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with games starting at 7:30 pm.

The Playoffs of Portage Baseball

The playoffs of Portage baseball are set to begin, and the race to the championship is heating up. The teams that will be vying for the title are the top four seeds in the league, and they will be playing a best-of-three series. The first team to win two games will advance to the next round, and the losing team will be eliminated.

The playoffs are a double-elimination tournament, so if a team loses two games, they will be out of the running for the championship. The four teams that have qualified for the playoffs are the Portage Pumas, the Rapids Rhinos, the Greenville Growlers, and the Blackhawk Bombers.

The Pumas are the top seed in the playoffs, and they will be taking on the fourth-seeded Growlers. The Pumas finished the Regular Season with a record of 29-5, while the Growlers were 21-13. The second seed in the playoffs is the Rhinos, who will be facing off against the third-seeded Bombers. The Rhinos finished with a record of 28-6, while the Bombers were 22-12.

The first game of the playoffs will be between the Pumas and Growlers on Wednesday, September 12th at 7:00pm at Puma Field. The second game will be between the Rhinos and Bombers on Thursday, September 13th at 7:00pm at Rhino Stadium. The third game (if necessary) will be played on Friday, September 14th at 7:00pm at either Puma Field or Rhino Stadium (depending on who won Game 1).

The second round ofthe playoffs will take place on Saturday September 15th and Sunday September 16th at neutral sites across Portage County. The locations of these games have not yet been determined. The third round (if necessary) would take place on Monday September 17th at a neutral site yet to be determined.

So far this season,the Pumas have been led by pitcher Ace Andrews, who has an ERA of 1.72 and a record of 9-1. Their offense has been powered by slugger Sammy Sosa who has hit 23 home runs and driven in 68 runs so far this season. Forthe Growlers, their ace pitcher is Pedro Martinez who has an ERA of 2.48 and a record of 8-3. their best hitter has been Alfonso Soriano, who has hit 20 home runs and driven in 60 runs this season.
