Introduction

Since its inception in 1896, Purdue Basketball has been one of the most successful programs in the country. The Boilermakers have won 27 conference championships and two national titles, and their teams have been to the NCAA tournament 37 times.

Purdue has produced some of the greatest players in college basketball history, including Oscar Robertson Glenn Robinson, Larry Bird Darrell Hazell, and Brad Stevens. Current stars include Carsen Edwards Ryan Cline, and Matt Haarms.

Purdue University has a long and storied history of success in basketball. Boilermaker fans have plenty to be proud of, including the team’s all-time leading scorer, Rick Mount.

Mount holds the record for most points in a career with 2,646. He also holds the record for most points in a season with 959, which he accomplished during the 1968-69 campaign. In addition to his scoring prowess, Mount was also an excellent shooter, finishing his career with a free throw percentage of 85.4%.

Purdue’s second all-time leading scorer is Glenn Robinson, who totaled 2,580 points during his three years with the Boilermakers. Like Mount, Robinson was also an excellent shooter, finishing his career with a free throw percentage of 83.3%.

In third place on Purdue’s all-time scoring list is George Thompson, who tallied 2,381 points during his four years with the Boilermakers. Thompson was a gifted scorer and an excellent shooter from beyond the arc, finishing his career with a three-point percentage of 42.1%.

Rounding out the top five on Purdue’s all-time scoring list is Joe Barry Carroll, who totaled 2,189 points during his four years with the Boilermakers. Carroll was known for his scoring ability inside the paint and finished his career as Purdue’s all-time leader in field goal percentage (64.6%).
