The Non-Conference Schedule

The Rivalry Games

The 2020-21 Purdue Women’s Basketball Schedule has arrived and it looks to be an exciting season! Highlighted by games against conference rivals Ohio State Iowa, and Michigan State the Boilermakers will have their hands full.

Purdue will open their season on the road against Ohio State on November 25th. This will be the first of two meetings between these teams, with the second game taking place in West Lafayette on February 11th.

Iowa will come to town on December 2nd for a pivotal early-season matchup. The Boilermakers will travel to Ames on January 13th for the return game.

Michigan State will also visit West Lafayette twice this season. The first game will take place on December 30th, with the second game happening on February 18th.

The National Championships

The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament is an annual college basketball tournament for women. The tournament is played each spring, with the Final Four played during the first weekend in April. It was first held in 1982 and has been held every year since then.

The tournament has been held at different sites each year since its inception. The most recent locations have been Columbus, Ohio (2019); Greensboro, North Carolina (2018); Dallas, Texas (2017); Indianapolis, Indiana (2016); and Tampa, Florida (2015).

The 2020 tournament will be held in Nashville, Tennessee.

The tournament consists of 64 teams, divided into four regions. The regions are: East, West, Midwest, and South. Each team is seeded from 1 to 16 within their region. The top four seeds receive a bye to the second round.
