Gray was born on September 27, 1997, in New York City New York. He attended High School at Abraham Lincoln high school in Brooklyn, where he played basketball. Gray then went on to play collegiate basketball for the Florida Gators During his collegiate career, he was named to the Second Team All-SEC and led his team in scoring during his senior season.
Gray was not selected in the 2020 NBA Draft but he later signed a training camp deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Raiquan Gray was born on November 5th, 1999, in Queens, New York. Gray’s father, Ronnie Gray, played basketball at St. John’s University from 1993 to 1996. Raiquan began playing organized basketball in the third grade. In high school Gray played for Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, New York. As a senior, he averaged 17 points and eight rebounds per game and was named to the All-Long Island team.
College Career
Gray originally committed to play college basketball for the NC State Wolfpack but decommitted and eventually chose to play for the LSU Tigers
As a freshman at LSU, Gray averaged 12.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per game earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors.
In his sophomore season, Gray was named to the SEC All-Defensive team after averaging 13.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He was also named Honorable Mention All-SEC.
As a junior, Gray averaged 16.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, earning First Team All-SEC honors. He was also named SEC Defensive Player of the Year and to the SEC All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive season.
