All-Defensive NBA 2021 Team Announced

The All-Defensive NBA 2021 Team has been announced, and it’s packed with some of the league’s best players.

All-Defensive First Team

The 2021 All-Defensive First Team has been announced, and it features some of the best defenders in the NBA. Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo who won Defensive Player of the Year last season, headlines the team. He’s joined by Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert Sixers guard Ben Simmons and Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart

All-Defensive Second Team

The All-Defensive Second Team is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) honor given since the 1968–69 NBA season to the best defenders in the league. Voting is conducted by a panel of 123 writers and broadcasters. Each voter selects two players for each position. These players must have been Defensive Players during the regular season they are not selected based on their offensive achievements.

Joining George on the All-Defensive Second Team are Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut, Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson, Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Johnson and Charlotte Bobcats guard Kemba Walker

All-Defensive Third Team

The All-Defensive Third Team for the 2020-21 NBA season has been announced, and it features a mix of established veterans and up-and-coming stars.

Headlining the list is defensive stalwart Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz who earns his fourth consecutive All-Defensive selection. He is joined by Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid who makes his first appearance on an All-Defensive team.

Rounding out the frontcourt is Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo who repeats as a member of the All-Defensive First Team. He is joined in the backcourt by Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson and Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul

All-Defensive Fourth Team

The All-Defensive Teams are an annual tradition of the National Basketball Association (NBA), which honors the best defenders in the league. The teams were first introduced in the 1969–70 season. The 2021 All-Defensive Teams were announced on May 25, 2021.

Headlining the fourth team are appeasers of Ben Simmons and Rudy Gobert. Simmons, who was named to the All-Defensive First Team last year, slipped to the Fourth Team in his second year of eligibility. Gobert, meanwhile, makes his debut on an All-Defensive squad. He is joined by two other first-timers in Eric Bledsoe and Brook Lopez.

Rounding out the team are two reserves in Jrue Holiday and P.J. Tucker.

All-Defensive Fifth Team

The All-Defensive Fifth Team for the 2020-21 season is announced. The team is composed of:

Tristan Thompson (Cleveland Cavaliers)
Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz)
Robert Covington (Portland Trail Blazers)
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Dallas Mavericks)
Tony Allen (Boston Celtics Honolulu Hikers)

All-Defensive Sixth Team

The All-Defensive Sixth Team for the 2020-21 NBA season has been announced, and it includes some of the league’s top defenders.

Heading the list is Los Angeles Lakers forward Lebron James who is making his 10th appearance on an All-Defensive team. He is joined by Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart and Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner.

The All-Defensive First Team features Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons New York Knicks forward Julius Randle and Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

All-Defensive Seventh Team

The All-Defensive Team is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) honor given since the 1968–69 NBA season to the best defensive players during the regular season Voting is conducted by a panel of 124 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada, each of whom casts a vote for five players for the first, second, and third teams. The media has been selecting an All-Defensive team since the 1969–70 season.

Joining Mitchell Robinson on the All-Defensive Second Team are Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner, Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis Miami Heat forward Bam Adebayo and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo

All-Defensive Eighth Team

The All-Defensive Eighth Team for the 2021 NBA season has been announced. Guard Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers and center Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers headline the team.

The All-Defensive Eighth Team also includes guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope of the Los Angeles Lakers forward PJ Tucker of the Houston Rockets and center Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz

All-Defensive Ninth Team

The All-Defensive Ninth Team is an honor given annually to the best defenders in the National Basketball Association (NBA). This year’s team was announced on May 25, 2021. It consists of five players who have been voted on by a panel of NBA coaches

The All-Defensive Ninth Team for the 2020–21 season is as follows:

Forwards: Solomon Hill and Terrence Ross
Guards: Eric Bledsoe and Marcus Smart
Center: Rudy Gobert

All-Defensive Tenth Team

The All-Defensive teams are selected by a vote of NBA head coaches. The coaches are not allowed to vote for players on their own team. Two guards, two forwards and one center make up the All-Defensive First Team. Three guards and two forwards make up the Second Team.

teammates Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell both made the cut, with Gobert being selected to the All-Defensive First Team and Mitchell to the Second Team. This marks the first time in NBA history that two teammates have been selected to the All-Defensive teams in the same season.
