The SoCal Challenge Basketball Tournament is Back!
The SoCal Challenge Basketball Tournament is back for its third year in a row, and it’s bigger and better than ever! This year’s tournament will feature 32 of the best high school basketball teams from across the state of California, competing for the coveted SoCal Championship Title
The SoCal Challenge is one of the most prestigious high school Basketball Tournaments in the country, and it’s sure to be a Great Event for all who attend. If you’re a fan of high school basketball, this is one tournament you won’t want to miss!
What is the SoCal Challenge?
The SoCal Challenge is a Basketball Tournament that was created to showcase the top high school talent in Southern California The tournament is open to any high school team in the area, and will feature some of the best players in the state.
The SoCal Challenge was created by Jordan Brand and will be held at Mater Dei high school in Santa Ana, CA. The tournament will take place on December 27-30, 2017.
This year’s field includes:
· Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, CA) – Defending State Champions
· Chino Hills high school (Chino Hills, CA) – ranked #1 in the state
· Long Beach Polytechnic High School (Long Beach CA) – ranked #2 in the state
· Shadow Mountain High School (Phoenix, AZ) – ranked #3 in the state
· Sierra Canyon High School (Los Angeles CA) – ranked #4 in the state
Why is the SoCal Challenge important?
The SoCal Challenge is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that strives to provide opportunities for children and young adults in the Southern California area through basketball. The SoCal Challenge has two main goals: to promote Physical activity and to teach the importance of healthy competition. The SoCal Challenge accomplishes these goals by hosting an annual Basketball Tournament for Boys and Girls in grades 3-12. The SoCal Challenge is open to any team, regardless of skill level, and provides a fun and friendly environment for all participants.
What are the benefits of the SoCal Challenge?
Come join us for the SoCal Challenge, one of the most highly anticipated high school basketball tournaments in the country! This event features some of the best teams from across the nation competing against each other. The SoCal Challenge provides great exposure for the players, as there will be many college scouts in attendance. This is a great opportunity for the players to showcase their skills and improve their chances of getting recruited by top colleges. In addition, the SoCal Challenge is a great way for players to bond with their teammates and build team camaraderie.
How can I participate in the SoCal Challenge?
The SoCal Challenge is a Basketball Tournament that is open to all players in the Southern California area. There are no tryouts or cuts, and all players who wish to participate are welcome.
To sign up, simply fill out the online registration form. You will be asked to provide your contact information and list any Basketball Experience you have. You will also be asked to indicate which level of competition you are interested in playing in:
-Open Division: This division is open to all players, regardless of skill level.
-Elite Division: This division is reserved for the Top Players in the tournament. Only players with significant Basketball Experience should register for this division.
-Competitive Division: This division is for players who want to compete at a high level, but may not have the same skill level as the Elite Division participants.
-Recreational Division: This division is for players who want to participate for fun and are not as concerned about winning.
Once you have registered, you will be placed on a team and will be notified of your team’s first game. The tournament consists of four rounds of play, and each team is guaranteed to play at least two games. The top teams from each round will advance to the next round until there is only one team remaining – the champion!

What is the format of the SoCal Challenge?
The SoCal Challenge is a bracket-style Basketball Tournament featuring 32 of the best High School teams in Southern California The tournament will be held from December 27-30, 2018 at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA.
The first round of the tournament will feature eight games, with the winners advancing to the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals will be played on December 28, with the semifinals taking place on December 29. The Championship game will be held on December 30.
What are the rules of the SoCal Challenge?
The SoCal Challenge is a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament for players in grades 4-8. The tournament will take place on Saturday, April 28th at the University of Southern California.
There are three divisions:
-The 4th and 5th grade division will play on 8 foot hoops.
-The 6th and 7th grade division will play on 9 foot hoops.
-The 8th grade division will play on 10 foot hoops.
There will be a round robin tournament in the morning, followed by a single elimination tournament in the afternoon. All teams are guaranteed to play at least three games. Trophies will be awarded to the first and second place teams in each division.
