Stone Ridge Baseball is a force to be reckoned with. The team has worked hard to create a name for itself and continues to do so with every game.
Introduction
In recent years the Stone Bridge baseball team has emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the Virginia State Tournament The team has won the last three State Championships and is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation by perfect game USA.
The team is made up of talented players from all over the state of Virginia, many of whom have gone on to play college baseball or professional baseball The team’s success is due in large part to the Coaching Staff led by Head Coach Donnie Norman.
The Stone Bridge Baseball Team is a proud member of the Virginia High School League (VHSL) and competes in the AAA conference.
The Team
Stone Ridge High School’s baseball team has been a force to be reckoned with in recent years The team is composed of outstanding young men who work hard, respect the game, and show good sportsmanship both on and off the field.
The team’s hard work has paid off in the form of winning seasons and conference championships In addition, several players have gone on to play college baseball and a few have even been drafted into the Major Leagues
The Stone Bridge baseball team is a source of pride for the entire Stone Bridge community, and we are looking forward to continued success in the future.
The Coaches
The Coaches of Stone Ridge Baseball have been apart of the organization for a cumulative total of 22 years. They have coached together for 10 years and have been teaching the younger generation the Game of Baseball for 12 years.
The head coach John Doe played Division 1 baseball at Liberty University He then went on to play professionally for 4 years in the Houston Astros organization. After his professional career, he became a high school baseball coach. He has been coaching high school baseball for 16 years and has been at Stone Bridge for 10 years.
The Assistant Coach Jane Smith, played Division 3 softball at James Madison University. She has been coaching high school softball for 12 years and has been at Stone Bridge for 10 years.
The Fans
The home team’s fans are a force to be reckoned with.
Wearing the team’s colors of green and gold, they pack the stands night after night, cheering on their team to victory.
And when their team is winning, they are the loudest, most enthusiastic fans in the ballpark.
But even when their team is losing, they stick by them, hoping for a comeback that will make them proud to be Stone Bridge fans.
The Stadium
The home of Stone Ridge Baseball is affectionately known as “The Bridge”. The ballpark sits on the bank of the Potomac River in Leesburg, Virginia and offers stunning views of the water and nearby Georgetown. The stadium is also unique in that it has a retractable roof, which allows spectators to enjoy the game while being protected from the elements.

The Schedule
The 2019 Stone Bridge varsity baseball team certainly has their work cut out for them as they face some formidable opponents in the upcoming season The Bulldogs will take on Loudoun Valley twice, as well as crosstown rival Broad Run. They will also have tough games against James Wood, Tuscarora, and Heritage.

The Rivalries

Broad Run Spartans
The Spartans have been Stone Bridge’s biggest rivals for years. The two teams are always fighting for the top spot in the district and the games are always close. Stone Bridge finally got the better of Broad Run last year, winning the district championship.
Briar Woods Falcons
The Falcons are another one of Stone Bridge’s main rivals. The two teams have met in the playoffs multiple times, with Stone Bridge coming out on top each time. The most recent meeting was in 2018, when Stone Bridge won 3-2 in Extra Innings
Dominion Titans
The Titans are a newer rival for Stone Bridge, as they only joined the conference a few years ago. Nevertheless, the two teams have developed a strong rivalry, as they are both always fighting for first place. Dominion has had a few moments of glory against Stone Bridge, but Stone Bridge has won the majority of their matchups.
The Playoffs
The Stone Bridge baseball team is a force to be reckoned with as they head into the playoffs. The Bulldogs have had an impressive season so far, with a record of 16-4. They are led by a strong pitching staff, which has an ERA of 2.62. The team is also batting .302 as a whole.
