The Tennessee Vils are headed to the playoffs for the first time since 2008! The team clinched a spot in the National League Wild Card game with a 3-1 win over the New York Mets on September 30th.

This is an incredible accomplishment for a team that was predicted by many to finish last in their division. The Vils have overcome injuries, poor performances, and trades to become one of the best teams in baseball.

outfielder Joc Pederson, who was acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers has been a key player for the Vils. He has hit 30 home runs and driven in 83 RBIs. Starting pitcher Luis Castillo has also been great, posting a record of 16-6 with a 3.40 ERA.

The Vils will take on the Milwaukee Brewers in the Wild Card game on October 1st. The game will be played at Miller Park.

The Tennessee Vils Baseball team clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2008 with a 5-2 win over the Louisville Bats on Saturday night.

The Vils will face the Durham Bulls in the first round of the playoffs. The best-of-five series will begin on Wednesday, September 11 at 7:05 p.m. at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
