Tulane’s Roster
The Tulane Green Wave men’s basketball team represents Tulane University in NCAA Division I college basketball The team competed in Conference USA from 2013 to 2020, when it joined the American Athletic Conference They play their home games on campus at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse, and are currently led by Head Coach Ron Hunter.
Tulane has appeared in five NCAA tournaments. Their combined record is 4–5.
The Green Wave have appeared in seven National Invitation Tournaments (NIT). Their combined record is 5–7.
Tulane’s Starting Lineup
The Tulane men’s Basketball team is set to begin their season soon, and fans are eager to see how the young team will fare. The starting lineup is still somewhat in flux, but we know that these five players will be on the court for the opening tip off.
Rylan Bell – Bell is a 6’3″ guard who hails from Chicago, Illinois. He started his college career at Diablo Valley College before transferring to Tulane. He averaged 12.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game last season.
Jerald Frazier – Frazier is a 6’4″ guard from Houston, Texas. He played his first two seasons of college basketball at Mississippi State before transferring to Tulane. He averaged 11.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game last season.
Ray Ona Embo – Embo is a 6’7″ forward from Douala, Cameroon. He played his first two seasons of College Basketball at Indian Hills Community College before transferring to Tulane. He averaged 8.9 points and 5 rebounds per game last season.
Samir Sehic – Sehic is a 7’0″ center from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sehic played his first two seasons of College Basketball at Indian Hills Community College before transferring to Tulane. He averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds per game last season.
Kai Roach – Roach is a 6’6″ forward from Brooklyn, New York. Roach played his first two seasons of college basketball at East Carolina before transferring to Tulane. He will be eligible to play immediately after sitting out last season due to NCAA transfer rules
Tulane’s Key Reserves
Tulane will have some key reserves that could make an impact this season. Here’s a look at some of the players that could see some significant playing time
-Garrison Mathews: A 6-foot-5 wing, Mathews is a versatile player that can score from anywhere on the court. He’s a good shooter and can also get to the basket and finish.
-Riley abernathy: A 6-foot-8 forward, abernathy is a good rebounder and can also step out and hit the three-pointer. He’s a good defender as well.
-Larry Aaron: A 6-foot-9 center, Aaron is a solid shot blocker and rebounder. He’s not much of an offensive threat, but he can be a force on defense.
Tulane’s Bench
The Tulane bench is full of talented and experienced players who are ready to step up and contribute when called upon. Here’s a look at some of the key members of the Green Wave bench unit:
Senior guard Malik Morgan is one of the team’s most experienced players and is a valuable asset on both ends of the court. He is a versatile defender who can guard multiple positions, and he has the ability to knock down threes when called upon offensively.
Junior guard/forward Jordan Cornish is another player who brings a wealth of experience to the table. He is a strong shooter from long range and is also capable of putting the ball on the floor and getting to the basket. Cornish is a good rebounder for his size and is always willing to lend a helping hand on defense.
Sophomore guard Kain Harris provides a spark off the bench with his high energy level and aggressive play on both ends of the court. He is a dangerous shooter from beyond the arc, and he has the quickness and athleticism to be a pest on defense.
Freshman forward Blake Paulson is one of the team’s most promising young players He has good size and strength for his position, and he has shown the ability to shoot from long range as well as finish around the basket. Paulson is still learning the ropes at this level, but he has all the tools to be a very good player in due time.

Tulane’s Coaching Staff

The Tulane men’s basketball team has a number of important people behind the scenes who support the coaching staff and team. Here’s a look at some of the people who help make the program run smoothly.
Athletic Trainer: Kenny Hayes is in his seventh season as the men’s basketball Athletic Trainer He is responsible for the health and well-being of the student-athletes on the team, and works closely with team physicians on all medical matters.
Strength & Conditioning Coach Jason Phelps is in his sixth season as the men’s basketball Strength and Conditioning coach. He designs and implements strength, speed, and agility Training Programs for the student-athletes.
Video Coordinator: Scott Zinober is in his fifth season as the video coordinator for men’s basketball. He is responsible for breaking down game film and creating scout films for opponents. He also runs the video equipment during practices and games.
Director of basketball operations Mike Voight is in his fourth season as the Director of Basketball Operations for men’s basketball. He coordinates all travel arrangements for the team, including flights, hotels, and meal plans. He also manages the team’s budget and handles various administrative duties.
Tulane’s Fans
At Tulane basketball games you’ll see all sorts of fans. Some have been following the team for years, while others are just there for the environment and excitement. But one thing is for sure – when the Green Wave is playing, the fans are all in.
There are the die-hards, who show up to every single game decked out in green and blue from head to toe. They know all of the players by name and can tell you Tulane’s stats from last season. And then there are the students, who come to support their fellow classmates and soak up the School Spirit No matter what type of fan you are, Tulane basketball games are always a good time.
