Tyree Campbell is a professional basketball player who has played for numerous teams throughout his career. He was born on August 1, 1989, in Baltimore, Maryland and played his high school basketball at St. Frances Academy From there, he went on to play collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh, where he became one of the best players in the country. After going undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft Campbell began his professional career in Europe, playing for various teams in Germany, Italy, and Turkey. In 2016, he finally made his way to the United States signing with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA G League He would go on to play for several other G League teams before finally getting his big break with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019. He would go on to win an NBA Championship with the Lakers in 2020.

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tyree Campbell was a Standout Player for Imhotep Charter high school As a junior, he averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game leading his team to a 26-4 record and the Class 4A state championship game. He was named First Team All-State and All-City as a junior.
In his senior year, Campbell averaged 19.5 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game as Imhotep Charter went 27-3 and won the Class 4A state championship He was again named First Team All-State and All-City as a senior.
Campbell has received scholarship offers from many top collegiate basketball programs including Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina Villanova, and UCLA. He has not yet announced where he will play College Basketball but is expected to make his decision in the spring of 2019.

In his sophomore season, Campbell increased his scoring average to 25.1 points per game while also adding 5.9 assists and 4.5 rebounds per contest. He was again named the Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year and was a unanimous selection to the Class 4A All-State team.
As a junior, Campbell averaged 27.2 points, 7.4 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game while leading Proviso East to a 28-3 record and a berth in the Class 4A state semifinals where they lost to Simeon Career Academy He was named Mr. Basketball of Illinois as well as being named a McDonald’s All-American
