The Pioneers have graduated more than 95 percent of their players over the past decade, and many have gone on to successful careers in coaching, administration, and other fields.

The Pioneers have won four conference championships and made seven NCAA tournament appearances, including a trip to the Frozen Four in 2012. Under Head Coach Gary Healey, the team has carved out a reputation as one of the top programs in Division III hockey.
In addition to their success on the ice, the Pioneers have also excelled in the classroom. The team has been named a college hockey Scholar All-American Team by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) eight times, and had nine players earn AHCA All-Academic honors in 2017-18.

The roster is made up of forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders, all of whom contribute to the team’s success on the ice. The team’s captain is senior forward Tyler Currier, who has been with the team for four years.

The Utica College Pioneers are a Division III college Hockey team representing Utica College in Utica, New York. The Pioneers are a member of the United Collegiate Hockey conference (UCHC) and play their home games at the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
