UWSP Baseball Team’s Recent Success

The UWSP Baseball Team has seen a lot of success in recent years In 2017, they won the WIAC conference championship and made it to the NCAA Division III World Series In 2018, they made it back to the World Series and finished as runner-ups. The team is currently ranked #1 in the nation and looks poised to make another run at the title.

Head coach Matt D Sincevich took over the program in 2013, the team has seen a dramatic turnaround. In his first season, the team went 9-29. Since then, they have posted a winning record every year and have made it to the postseason six times, including three trips to the World Series

The team is led by senior pitcher Connor Hock, who was named WIAC Pitcher of the Year in 2018. He is joined by fellow seniors Alex Koch and Joe Starzynski, who were both named First Team All-WIAC. The team also features junior outfielder Jared Marshall, who was named Second Team All-WIAC.
