Wayne State’s Men’s Basketball Schedule

The Wayne State men’s basketball team will open its 2017-2018 season on the road against Northwood University on Friday, November 10. The Warriors will then play 11 of their next 12 games at home, including five straight from December 19-30. Wayne State will conclude its regular season on Saturday, March 3 at Northern Michigan.

The Warriors’ non-Conference Schedule includes home games against Marygrove (November 17), Aquinas (November 21), Siena Heights (December 2), Rochester (December 16) and Madonna (December 30). Wayne State will also travel to Superior State (November 25), Grand Valley State (December 9) and Ursuline (Ohio) December 28-29 for the Comfort Inn & Suites Thanksgiving Classic.

The Wayne State men’s Basketball team had a successful 2017-2018 season, finishing with a record of 21-9. The team was led by senior guard James soul, who averaged 18.1 points per game Other key contributors included junior forward Javon Pickett (13.7 points per game) and senior guard Khalil Felder (10.6 points per game). The team will look to build on this success in the 2018-2019 season.

The Wayne State men’s basketball team will look to continue its recent success this season under 12th-year Head Coach David Greer. The Warriors have won 20 or more games in five of the last seven seasons, including a school-record 25 wins in 2013-14, and have qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament four times since 2011. Wayne State has also captured GLIAC regular season championships in 2010-11 and 2016-17.

Wayne State’s Men’s basketball camps are an opportunity for young athletes to improve their skills and compete against some of the best players in the country. The coaches at Wayne State have a wealth of experience and are dedicated to helping each player reach his full potential.

Wayne State’s Men’s Basketball Tickets

Wayne State’s men’s basketball team will Tip-Off their season on Friday, November 10 at 7 p.m. against Saint Joseph’s College (IN) in the Bud Wilkerson Memorial Tip-Off Tournament at Hammons Student Center. The Wildcats will also play Lincoln (MO) on Saturday, November 11 at 5 p.m. in the tournament.
