This weekend marks the beginning of the WCC Baseball Tournament and we can’t wait to see who comes out on top! Be sure to follow all the action here on our blog, as we’ll be providing live updates and commentary throughout the event.
WCC Baseball Tournament: What to Expect
The West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament begins this weekend, with the top four seeds squaring off at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California.
The tournament, which is a double-elimination format, will begin on Friday, May 25th and will conclude on Monday, May 28th.
The fourth-seeded Portland Pilots will take on the top-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs at 2:00 PM PT on Friday afternoon, while the second-seeded Loyola Marymount Lions will face off against the third-seeded Saint Mary’s Gaels at 6:00 PM PT.
The winners of those two games will advance to the Championship game on Monday, while the losers will play an elimination game on Sunday.
The Pilots and Bulldogs met three times during the regular season with Gonzaga winning two of those three contests. Portland’s lone victory came back on April 7th, when they defeated Gonzaga 6-4 in 10 innings.
Loyola Marymount and Saint Mary’s also met three times during the regular season with LMU winning two of those games. The Lions’ lone loss came back on April 28th, when they fell to the Gaels by a score of 5-3.

WCC Baseball Tournament How to Watch
This weekend, the top four seeds in the West Coast Conference will battle it out in the WCC Baseball Tournament at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, California.
There are a number of ways to follow the action, whether you’re at the ballpark or not. All games will be streamed live on TheW.tv, and live stats will be available on WCCsports.com. In addition, Friday’s opener and Saturday’s semifinal games will be carried live on ESPNU, while Sunday’s Championship game will be televised on ESPN2.
