The history of West baseball
West baseball is a regional baseball league in the western United States The league was founded in 1903, and currently comprises 16 teams in four divisions.
The West baseball league began as the Northwestern League, which was founded in 1903. The league originally comprised just six teams, all located in the states of Washington and Oregon. In 1910, the league expanded to eight teams, adding two additional teams in Montana.
In 1921, the Northwestern League changed its name to the West Coast Baseball League The league expanded again in 1925, adding four additional teams located in California.
In 1937, the West Coast Baseball League merged with another regional baseball league the Pacific Coast Baseball League The newly merged league was known as the West Coast Baseball Association
The West Coast Baseball Association continued to operate until 1942, when it ceased operations due to World War II. The league resumed operations in 1946, but disbanded for good just two years later.
