The Westminster varsity baseball team won Friday’s home conference game against rival school Stockbridge by a score of 2-1.

Next up on the schedule, Westminster will take Archbishop Wood Catholic high school on Tuesday, April 10th. The game is set to start at 3:45pm and will be held at Archbishop Wood

The Westminster high school Baseball Team has an impressive record this season. As of May 1st, they are 10-3. They have an overall batting average of .292 and have scored 103 runs this season. The team’s ERA is 4.04.

Individually, some Westminster players are doing very well this season. Jake Whetzel, senior, is leading the team in batting average at .429. He also has the most stolen bases on the team with 12. Senior pitcher Kyle Hoffman has the most wins on the team with 5 and also has the lowest ERA at 3.38.

Player profiles

The Westminster high school baseball team is made up of a group of talented and hardworking young men. The team is currently in the middle of their season, and they are looking forward to a successful year. Here are profiles of some of the team’s Key Players

– Senior captain and pitcher Matt Johnson is a 3-year starter who has been a key player on the team for the past two years. He is a hard worker with a great attitude, and he is a leader on and off the field.

– Junior catcher Jake Smith is one of the team’s top hitters, and he is also a solid defensively. He has a great arm, and he has been starting for the past two years.

– Sophomore infielder/outfielder Ryan Murphy is one of the most promising young players on the team. He is a versatile player who can play multiple positions and he has a great bat. He will be one of the team’s leaders in the future.
