The objective of the game is to score more runs than the other team by Hitting the ball and running around the bases. There are several important rules that governing play in Whaley Pony Baseball:

1. The game is played with 9 players on each team, with 3 outfielders, 3 infielders, and 3 pitchers.
2. The playing field is 60 feet wide by 90 feet long with a pitching distance of 35 feet.
3. Base running is done clockwise around the bases, with each base being 10 feet long.
4. The ball must be pitched underhand to the hitter.
5. A batter is out if he or she hits a fly ball that is caught by an outfielder, or if they strike out (3 strikes).
6. A runner is out if they are tagged with the ball while not touching a base, if they try to run to the next base while the pitcher still has the ball, or if they run outside of the basepath.
