The Southeastern Conference
In baseball, the Eastern Conference (SEC) is an American collegiate Athletic Conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the Southern part of the United States The conference participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) Division I, and in baseball is a member of the College World Series (CWS). The SEC was founded in December 1932 when thirteen schools separated from the Southern Conference Ten of the thirteen charter members have remained in the conference through all divisions.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a membership-driven organization that oversees college athletics in the United States The NCAA is made up of three divisions: Division I, Division II, and Division III Each division has different rules and regulations regarding student-athletes, scholarships, and the level of competition.
Tennessee is a member of Division I of the NCAA and competes in the Eastern Conference (SEC). The SEC is one of the most competitive conferences in all of college baseball so it’s no surprise that the Volunteers have had some tough losses over the years.
Some of Tennessee’s most recent losses in baseball have come at the hands of LSU, Florida, and Vanderbilt. These are all SEC schools that are currently ranked in the top 25 nationally. While it’s never fun to lose, it’s important to remember that the Volunteers are still one of the best teams in the country and they always have a chance to Bounce Back and win the next game.

The Big 12 Conference
The Big 12 Conference is a collegiate athletic conference that comprises ten schools—nine in the United States and one in Canada. It is a member of the NCAA’s Division I for all sports. Its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS; formerly Division I-A), the higher of two levels of NCAA Division I football competition. Its ten members, located in Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia include two each in Oklahoma and Texas (the only states with more than one Big 12 member), and one each in Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri.
The conference was founded on February 25, 1994. Two of its schools were members of the eight-team Border Collegiate Athletic Association (BIAA) which had been founded on December 3, 1907; five other schools were also former members of BIAA Division II conferences which had disbanded: the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), West Conference (SWC), and Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The name of the conference commonly varies between sources; some call it simply The Big 12 or colloquially The XII while others include either “Conference” or “Interscholastic Athletic Association” as part of its formal name such as The Big 12 Conference or The Big 12 Athletic Association.

Its fourteen members include some of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the United States such as the University of Michigan the University of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin. The conference is headquartered in Rosemont, Illinois.

The Pac-12 Conference was established in 1959 as the Athletic Association of Western Universities, then renamed the Pacific Coast Athletic Association before becoming the Pacific-10 Conference in 1978.
