WWE Raw
On last night’s episode of WWE Raw, we saw some epic matches. First, we saw Triple H take on Dean Ambrose in a Street Fight. This was a brutal match, with both competitors using anything they could get their hands on as weapons. Next, we saw Charlotte take on Natalya for the WWE Women’s Championship. This was a hard-fought match, with Charlotte ultimately coming out on top. Finally, we saw Brock Lesnar take on Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This was an intense match, with Brock Lesnar coming out victorious.
Seth Rollins def. Baron Corbin
Seth Rollins won the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam last night, defeating Brock Lesnar in what was perhaps the biggest victory of his career. But Rollins didn’t have much time to celebrate, as he was immediately challenged to a rematch by Baron Corbin.
Rollins and Corbin have been feuding for the past few weeks, with Corbin trying to undermine Rollins at every opportunity. Last night, he tried to interfere in the match, but Rollins was able to fight him off and ultimately pinned Lesnar to become champion.
After the match, Corbin attacked Rollins from behind and laid him out with the End of Days. He then taunted Rollins, saying that he would never be able to beat him.
It looks like these two will be facing off again at WWE Clash of Champions in December.
Rusev def. No Way Jose
In the opening match of the night, Rusev defeated No Way Jose in what was a very quick match. Rusev was able to pick up the victory after hitting Jose with a big boot and then following up with his signature Machka Kick.
Aleister Black def. Cesaro
In a hard-fought matchup, Aleister Black emerged victorious over “The Swiss Cyborg” Cesaro. From the opening bell, both Superstars went back and forth, exchangingHold for hold and trying to one-up the other. Cesaro seemed to be in control for much of the match after hitting a gutwrench suplex on the outside early on.
Black tried to mount a comeback with some big strikes, but Cesaro just wouldn’t stay down. Finally, Black hit a handspring elbow and then connected with his Black MassRoundhouse kick to pick up the victory.
WWE Smackdown
WWE Smackdown was last night and it was a great event. There were a lot of great matches and moments. If you missed it, don’t worry because we will give you a recap of all the action.
Roman Reigns def. King Corbin
Roman Reigns returned to action on WWE SmackDown following a lengthy absence due to illness, and he made his presence felt in a big way.
Reigns defeated King Corbin in the main event of the show, pinning him with a spear. The victory was Reigns’ first singles match since he returned to WWE television.
The match was originally scheduled to be a Steel Cage Match, but Corbin attacked Reigns before the match could begin, leading to a regular one-on-one match.
Reigns took control early on and hit Corbin with a series of signature moves, including a Samoan Drop and a Superman Punch. Corbin was able to turn things around with a low blow behind the referee’s back, but Reigns quickly fought back and hit another spear to pick up the victory.
Daniel Bryan & The Miz def. The Revival
In the opening bout of WWE SmackDown, Daniel Bryan and The Miz teamed up to take on The Revival in a tag team match. After a back-and-forth battle, Bryan and Miz were able to pick up the victory after hitting their finishers on Dash and Dawson.
Lacey Evans def. Bayley
Lacey Evans scored a huge victory over WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley on last night’s show, courtesy of some help from Sasha Banks.
The match was originally supposed to be a triple threat between Evans, Bayley, and Banks, but Banks attacked Bayley before the match could begin. This led to a one-on-one match between Evans and Bayley.
Banks eventually interfered again, this time helping Evans to pick up the victory. It remains to be seen if this will lead to a title opportunity for Evans down the line.
