In 2002, the Sacramento Kings faced off against the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals The Kings had a strong team, led by Chris Webber Vlade Divac, Mike Bibby, and Peja Stojakovic. The Lakers were no slouches either, with Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal leading the way.
The Kings took Game 1 in overtime, but the Lakers evened the series with a win in Game 2. The Kings won Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the series, but the Lakers bounced back with two wins of their own to take a 3-2 lead.
In an elimination Game 6 back in Sacramento, the Kings fought hard but ultimately fell to the Lakers 112-106. The Lakers went on to win Game 7 and the NBA Championship

The Minnesota Timberwolves led by star players Kevin Garnett and Latrell Sprewell won the 2002 NBA Finals This was the first and only time in franchise history that the Timberwolves have won the NBA Finals

The Houston Rockets may not have had the best season overall, but they came together when it mattered and won the 2002 NBA Finals It was a close series, but the Rockets managed to come out on top, winning four games to three.
