The WIAA Ball State Champions of 2020
The WIAA Ball State Champions of 2020 are the Appleton North Lightning, the Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes, and the Kaukauna Ghostriders. These three teams have been dominating the competition all season, and they showed their skills and determination in the State Tournament The Lightning defeated the Menasha Bluejays in the Championship game while the Old Abes bested the Burlington Demons in the semifinals. The Ghostriders, who had a bye in the first round of the tournament, beat the Arrowhead Warriors in the quarterfinals.

The WIAA Basketball State Champions of 2019 are the University of Washington Huskies men’s basketball team The Huskies defeated the Oregon Ducks in the Championship game 80-77. It was their second consecutive state title and fourth in five years.

The WIAA Basketball State Champions of 2016 are the Appleton East Patriots! The Patriots defeated the Hamilton Hawks in the WIAA State Championship game played on March 12th, by a score of 54-52. This is the first state Basketball Championship for Appleton East high school
