The Winthrop baseball schedule is here! The team will be playing a total of 29 games this season, with 15 of those being at home in Winthrop, Massachusetts. The first game of the season will be played on Friday, February 28th against the University of Connecticut The full schedule can be found below.

A look at the Winthrop Baseball schedule

It’s almost time for baseball season and that means it’s time to start planning your trips to the ballpark. Winthrop Baseball is back in action this year, and we’ve got your first look at the schedule.

The Eagles will open their season on the road with a three-game series against Wake Forest from February 15-17. They’ll then return home for a three-game series against Charleston Southern from February 22-24.

Winthrop will spend most of March on the road, with eight of their 12 games that month coming away from home. They’ll have a chance to play in some warm weather early on, with trips to Florida Atlantic (March 1-3), Stetson (March 8-10), and UNC Wilmington (March 15-17). The Eagles will also make stops in Alabama (Samford, March 22-24) and Tennessee (Middle Tennessee State March 29-31) during the month.

The Eagles will wrap up their non-Conference Schedule with games against Coastal Carolina (April 3), Charlotte (April 10), and Davidson (April 24). Winthrop will then begin Big South play on the road against Presbyterian from April 26-28.

After much anticipation, the Winthrop Baseball Schedule is finally here! Here’s a wrap-up of what to expect this season:

The Eagles will open their season on the road with a three-game series against USC Upstate from February 15-17. This will be followed by a six-game homestand, beginning with a three-game set against Charlotte from February 22-24. The homestand will also include single games against Davidson (February 26) and Presbyterian (February 28) before concluding with a three-game series against Longwood from March 1-3.

On the road again, Winthrop will take on Gardner-Webb in a three-game series from March 8-10. The Eagles will then return home for eight straight home games starting with another three-game series against USC Upstate from March 15-17. This will be followed by single games against High Point (March 19), Liberty (March 20), and Charleston Southern (March 22). The Eagles will then wrap up their homestand with another three-game series, this time against Campbell from March 25-27.

From April 5-7, Winthrop will travel to Lexington, Virginia to take on Big South opponent VMI. The Eagles will then return home for six more Home Games starting with a three game set against Radford from April 12-14. This will be followed by single games against UNC Asheville (April 16) and Appalachian State (April 17) before concluding with another three game series – this time against Big South foe High Point from April 19-21.

After a brief respite, Winthrop will close out their regular season on the road with four straight away games. They’ll start with a three game set at Coastal Carolina from April 26 -28 before closing out the Regular Season with a single game at Charlotte on Tuesday, May 7th.

The 2019 Big South Conference Baseball Championship tournament is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 22 and conclude on Sunday, May 26 at Segra Park in Fayetteville, North Carolina – home of the current conference champions, Campbell University
