The Woodpeckers’ 2017 Promotions

--Opening Day Friday, April 7 vs. the Birmingham Barons. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. All fans will receive a 2017 Woodpeckers schedule magnet, and the first 2,000 fans through the gates will also receive a Woodpeckers T-shirt.

-Thirsty Thursdays: Starting April 13, every Thursday Home game will feature $2 12-oz. beers and $1 small sodas, presented by Piedmont HealthCare.

-Fireworks Fridays: After every Friday home game, stay in your seats for a spectacular fireworks show!

-Bark in the Park: On Sunday, April 30, bring your four-legged friend to the ballpark! A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to support local animal shelters. All dogs must be on a leash and have proof of current vaccinations.

The Woodpeckers will be playing their home games at the newly renovated Woodpecker Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 fans, and tickets start at just $10. There are a variety of seating options available, including club seats, suites, and general admission.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just looking for a fun night out, the Woodpeckers’ 2017 season is sure to be a hit!

The Woodpeckers’ 2017 Broadcast Schedule

The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are excited to announce their 2017 broadcast schedule. The Woodpeckers will air all 140 regular season games, plus any Playoff Games on the Woodpeckers radio network

Pete Francisco and Kevin Carlin will return to call the action for all Woodpeckers broadcasts in 2017. Francisco is entering his fourth season as the “Voice of the Woodpeckers” and Carlin his third.

Joining Pete and Kevin on the broadcast team this year will be Alaina Anderson. Anderson comes to Fayetteville after spending three seasons broadcasting minor league baseball in both California and Virginia.

The Woodpeckers Radio Network consists of five affiliate stations in North Carolina In Fayetteville, games can be heard on WKML 95.7 FM and 950 AM The Fanatic. Games can also be heard in Southern Pines onpineipineshrv950amWNSR 560 AM serves as the flagship station for Pinehurst, while WHNC 660 AM is the home of Haywood County sports. listeners in Harnett County can hear games onWAIT 630 AM In addition to these five affiliate stations, all Woodpeckers game broadcasts are also available online at www.fayettevillewoodpeckers.com

The Woodpeckers, Fayetteville’s minor league baseball team are excited to announce their 2017 community events schedule. From school visits to charity balls and everything in between, the team is looking forward to connecting with their fans in a variety of ways this season. Highlights of the schedule include:

-10 school visits across Cumberland County
-Partnering with Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity for a home build day
-Hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness night and partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Carolina Race for the Cure
-Participating in the July Fourth Celebration at Festival Park
-Attending and hosting events at the Farmer’s Market Downtown
