As the college Basketball Recruiting season comes to a close, it’s time to take a look at the top prospects in the class of 2020.

West Virginia University has had a lot of success in recent years with their recruiting efforts, and they’re looking to continue that trend with the class of 2020.

Here are the top 10 prospects in the state of West Virginia according to WVU Scout:

The West Virginia University basketball team is on the lookout for the top basketball prospects in the class of 2020. Here is a list of the top 10 prospects, according to Scout.com.

The Top Basketball Prospects

The 2020 college basketball recruiting class is loaded with talented players.

West Virginia University has already secured commitments from two of the top prospects in the class, kit Hightower and Isaiah Cottrell.

Hightower, a 6-foot-9 power forward from Charleston, is rated as a five-star prospect by ESPN and is the No. 11 player in the ESPN 100. Cottrell, a 6-foot-9 center from Huntington, is also a five-star prospect and is ranked No. 29 in the ESPN 100.

In addition to Hightower and Cottrell, WVU is also in the mix for several other top prospects including five-star point guard D’Shawn Schwartz, who is considering the Mountaineers along with Duke, Kentucky and North Carolina four-star small forward TJ Warren Jr., who has WVU among his final six schools; and four-star power forward Jalen Johnson who includes the Mountaineers in his top eight.

RJ Hampton – A 6’5″ guard from Little Elm, Texas, Hampton is one of the most athletic players in the class. He’s an excellent finisher at the rim and has the ability to create his own shot. Hampton is also a good defender, and he has the potential to be a very good two-way player He’s currently ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect in the class by Scout.

Jeremy Roach – A 6’2″ guard from Fairfax, Virginia, Roach is an elite scorer who can get buckets from anywhere on the court. He’s an excellent shooter with deep range, and he’s also very good at getting to the basket and finishing around the rim. Roach is a high-level athlete with good size for a guard, and he has the potential to be a very good two-way player. He’s currently ranked as the No. 9 overall prospect in the class by Scout.

Moses Moody – A 6’6″ wing from Little Rock, Arkansas, Moody is one of the best shooters in the class. He has deep range on his jump shot and he’s also very good at getting to the basket and finishing around the rim. Moody is a high-level athlete with good size for a wing, and he has the potential to be a very good two-way player. He’s currently ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect in the class by Scout.

Topping the list is five-star prospect Jalen Duren, a 6’9″ center from Pennsylvania who is rated as the No. 2 player in his class by ESPN. WVU Scout notes that Duren “has the potential to be an elite rim protector and rebounder at the college level.”

Rounding out the top five are four-Star Prospects Joshua Christopher (No. 4), Terrence Shannon Jr.(No. 10), Bryce Thompson (No. 11), and Ziaire Williams (No. 19).

Rounding out the top three is center Isaac Okoro, a 6-foot-9 big man from Georgia. Okoro is one of the best defensive prospects in the country, with great timing and instincts as a shot blocker. He is also a very good rebounder, and he has improved his offensive game in recent years
