As the college Basketball season winds down, fans of the Oklahoma Sooners are already looking ahead to next year. Here’s a look at some of the top recruits the Sooners are targeting.

As the college basketball season enters conference play many top programs are starting to turn their attention to the upcoming recruiting cycle. One team that is already making waves on the recruiting trail is the University of Oklahoma.

The Sooners currently have the No. 3 ranked recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports, and they are still in the mix for a number of top prospects Here are some of the OU basketball recruits that you should keep an eye on in the coming months.

5-star guard Bryce Thompson – The No. 11 overall prospect in the 2020 class, Thompson is an elite scorer with a smooth shooting stroke. He would be an instant impact player for the Sooners and has them firmly in the mix for his services.

5-star guard Jaden Springer – Another top-ranked guard, Springer is a physical specimen at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds. He is a superb athlete with a high motor, and his defensive prowess would be a welcome addition to OU’s backcourt.

4-star center Jabri Abdur-Rahim – The son of former NBA Star Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Jabri is a 6-foot-10 big man with Good footwork and touch around the basket. He is still raw offensively, but has immense upside and could blossom into a star under Head Coach Lon Kruger’s tutelage.

The 2020 OU basketball Recruiting Class is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory. Here are the five-Star Prospects the Sooners are targeting.

1) Cade Cunningham
The top-ranked player in the 2020 class, Cunningham is a do-it-all point guard who would be an instant impact player for the Sooners. He has great size (6’7”) and Court Vision and is an excellent shooter. He’s currently committed to Oklahoma State but the Sooners are still in the mix.

2) Jalen Suggs
A 6’4” point guard from Minnesota, Suggs is a high-level athlete with a High Basketball IQ. He can score from anywhere on the court and is an excellent passer. He’s also a very good defender. The Sooners have a good chance to land him.

3) Nimari Burnett
A 6’4” shooting guard from Chicago, Burnett is a gifted scorer with a smooth jump shot He can also get to the basket and finish with contact. He doesn’t have great size, but he makes up for it with his skills and athleticism. The Sooners are in his top five.

4) Harrison Ingram
A 6’7” small forward from Texas, Ingram is a skilled forward who can shoot and put the ball on the floor. He has good size and length, and is a very good rebounder. Ingram recently named Oklahoma State his leader, but the Sooners are still in it for him.

5) Patrick Williams
A 6’8” Power Forward from Florida, Williams is an athletic big man who can run the floor and finish above the rim. He needs to add some weight and strength, but he has all the tools to be a very good player at the next level. The Sooners are one of his final five schools.

Greg Brown is a 5-star power forward from Austin, Texas. He is ranked as the No. 3 player in the class of 2020 according to 247Sports Composite. Brown is 6’9″ and 205 lbs.

Brown has scholarship offers from Kansas, Louisville, Memphis, North Carolina Oklahoma, Texas, UCLA, and many others. He took an official visit to Kentucky in September and has also visited Memphis and North Carolina

Brown will likely take his time making a decision and wait until the late Signing Period in November. Oklahomahope to land him but will have to compete with some of the nation’s best programs for his services.

Dante is a five-star center from Mali who has only been playing organized basketball for a few years. He’s raw, but his upside is through the roof. He’s already 6’11” with a 7’5″ wingspan, and he’s expected to continue to grow. He’s an excellent shot blocker and rebounder, and he has the potential to develop into an elite rim protector. Offensively, he has good touch around the basket and is improving as a scorer. HeN’Faly Dante is one of the most intriguing prospects in the country, and he’s someone to keep an eye on in Ou’s recruiting class

He’s considered a five-star recruit by most major recruiting services and is ranked in the top 10 nationally by 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals. Green has offers from nearly every major school in the country, but he’s considering OU, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina and Villanova. He’s expected to announce his decision sometime in the next few weeks.

Jaden McDaniels is a 6’9” small forward from Seattle, Washington. He is ranked as the 88th best player in the nation and the 19th best Small Forward by 247Sports. He is currently committed to play for the Washington Huskies but has been rumored to be reconsidering his decision. The Sooners will be keeping a close eye on him in hopes that he decides to play for them instead.
