The tournament was held at the Xaverian Rink. The first game was against North high school North was a tough team, but Xaverian won 3-1. The next game was against Central high school This was an exciting game because it went into overtime. Central scored first, but Xaverian came back and won 2-1.
The Championship game was against East high school East had beaten Xaverian earlier in the season, but Xaverian was determined to win this game. The game was close, but Xaverian came out on top with a score of 4-2.
The team was excited to win the tournament and they are looking forward to next year.

The Xaverian varsity hockey team won the Massachusetts state tournament on Saturday, March 11th, with a 5-2 victory over Catholic Memorial. It is the Hawks’ fourth state title in six years, and sixth overall. The win was also the 1000th in program history.
Head coach John Flaherty attributed the win to the team’s hard work and dedication, saying, “This is a special group of young men who have worked extremely hard all season long I’m so proud of them and everything they’ve accomplished.”
The Hawks will now move on to the New England tournament, where they will face off against teams from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
