The Capitals are once again a force to be reckoned with thanks in large part to their captain’s consistent greatness.

Defenders:

Victor Hedman (TBL): Hedman had another great season on both ends of the ice, scoring 10 goals and adding 45 assists while anchoring Tampa Bay’s defense. He’s a big reason why they are once again one of the best teams in hockey, and he should be in line for another Norris Trophy nomination.

Roman Josi (NSH): Josi had a breakout year offensively, setting career-highs in goals (16) and points (65). He’s also an excellent defender, which makes him one of the most well-rounded players in the league. The Predators are lucky to have him anchoring their blue line
