The Chicago Blackhawks will begin their 2014-2015 season on October 9th at the United Center against the Dallas Stars Below is the schedule for the first month of the season.

-10 out of 12 games in October will be played at home in the United Center
-The Blackhawks have 2 back to back games scheduled in mid-October and late October

The National Hockey League’s Blackhawks will look to defend their Stanley Cup championship when the 2015-16 regular season begins on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The NHL released its schedule for the upcoming season on Tuesday, and the Blackhawks will open at home against the New York Rangers That will be the first of four games in seven days for the Blackhawks, who will also play host to the Winnipeg Jets, Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers during that stretch.

The Blackhawks’ first road game of the season will be Oct. 15 at Nashville, and they’ll play their first game against a Western Conference opponent when they visit St. Louis on Oct. 17.

Chicago will once again play host to the Winter Classic this time taking on the Minnesota Wild at TCF Bank Stadium on Jan. 1. The game will be part of a six-game road trip for the Blackhawks that also includes stops in Winnipeg (Dec. 27), Nashville (Dec. 29), Tampa Bay (Jan. 2), Florida (Jan 3) and Dallas (Jan. 5).

The Blackhawks’ longest homestand of the season will be eight games from March 2-17, and they’ll finish the regular season with three straight home games against Anaheim (April 7), Calgary (April 9) and St Louis (April 10).
