The Biggest Surprises in the 247/2023 Class

247/2023 has been an eventful year for Basketball Recruiting with a number of highly ranked prospects committing to schools across the country. While some of the top recruits have chosen traditional basketball powerhouses like Duke and Kentucky, there have also been a number of surprise commitments from players who had been previously thought to be leaning elsewhere. Here are some of the biggest surprises in the 247/2023 class:

5-star point guard Jaden Hardy committed to UNLV over offers from several blue-blood programs including Duke, Kentucky, and UCLA. Hardy is widely considered one of the best pure scorers in the class and should immediately make an impact for the Runnin’ Rebels.

The Most Disappointing Programs in the 247/2023 Class

It is never too early to start thinking about the 247/2023 Basketball season For some programs, the 247/2023 season was a huge disappointment. Here is a look at some of the most disappointing programs in the 247/2023 class.

-Indiana: The Hoosiers had high hopes for the 247/2023 season, but they failed to live up to expectations. They finished with a record of 14-16 and missed the NCAA tournament

-UCLA: The Bruins were another team that disappointed in the 247/2023 season. They finished with a record of 15-17 and also missed the NCAA Tournament

-Butler: The Bulldogs had a solid season, but they were still disappointing in many ways. They finished with a record of 20-14 and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament before losing to eventual National Champion Louisville.

While he may not be as highly ranked as some other recruits, he has shown the ability to score the ball at a high level. In his junior season, Bradley averaged 18 points per game He also shot 41% from three-point range If he can continue to develop his game, he has the potential to be a very good player at the collegiate level.

Another dark horse recruit in the 247/2023 class is Kaleb Jackson. Jackson is a 6’6″ forward from Alabama. He is ranked as the #68 recruit in the 247/2023 class. Jackson is an excellent athlete who can run and jump with the best of them. He is also a very good rebounder. In his junior season, Jackson averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds per game He will need to work on his offensive game, but he has all of the tools to be a very good player at the collegiate level.

The last dark horse recruit in the 247/2023 class is Maurice Calloo. Calloo is a 6’7″ forward from Canada. He is ranked as the #84 recruit in the 247/2023 class. Calloo is an excellent shooter who can also put the ball on the floor and create for others. In his junior season, Calloo averaged 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists per game He will need to work on his defense, but he has all of the tools to be a very good player at the collegiate level

The Sleepers in the 247/2023 Class

While much attention has been paid to the bigger names in the 247/2023 class, there are a number of other players who have flown under the radar but have the potential to make a big impact in College Basketball Here are five players who are worth keeping an eye on:

1. PG Rayvon Maurice: A 6’4″ point guard from Orlando, Maurice is a talented scorer and playmaker who has flown under the radar due to playing for a small high school team. However, he has the size and skill set to be a very good player at the collegiate level and is worth watching.

2. SG Ishmael El-Amin: A 6’5″ shooting guard from Cincinnati, El-Amin is an excellent shooter with deep range and a nice stroke. He’s not the biggest or most athletic player, but he has a High Basketball IQ and could be a productive player in college.

3. PF Langston Wilson A 6’8″ power forward from Memphis, Wilson is a strong and physical player with a good motor. He’s not the most skilled offensive player but he’s a good rebounder and shot blocker who can make an impact on the defensive end of the floor.

4. C Frank Anselem: A 6’10” center from New York, Anselem is a big body with good feet and improving skills on both ends of the floor. He’s still raw offensively, but he has potential as a rim protector and rebounder at the college level.

5. SG Miles Johnson: A 6’6″ shooting guard from Chicago, Johnson is an explosive athlete with a nice outside stroke. He needs to learn to play under control and become more consistent with his jump shot but he has all the tools to be a very good college player.
