Contents
It’s March Madness time and we here at Penn State Basketball are making our predictions for who we think will make the Final Four.
Introduction
It’s that time of year again: the NCAA men’s Basketball Tournament is upon us! The “Big Dance” always provides plenty of upsets and drama, and this year is shaping up to be no different. So who are our picks to make the Final Four?
What is the Final Four?
The Final Four is the last weekend of the college Basketball season when the top four teams in the NCAA tournament compete for the National Championship It is one of the most anticipated events in all of sports, and this year’s edition should be no different.
In recent years the Final Four has been dominated by Blue Blood programs like Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina But this year’s tournament is wide open, with no clear-cut favorite. That means there is a good chance we could see a first-time National Champion crowned in 2021.
So who will make it to this year’s Final Four? Here are our picks:
1) Baylor: The Bears have been the best team in college basketball all season long They have an elite defense that can shut down any opponent, and their offense is explosive enough to win any game. Baylor is our pick to win it all.
2) Gonzaga: The Bulldogs have been near-perfect this season, with their only loss coming against a very good BYU team. Gonzaga has one of the best players in the country in freshman phenom Jalen Suggs and they also have a deep bench that can wear down opponents. The Bulldogs are our pick to make it to the final weekend.
3) Iowa: The Hawkeyes started the season slow but have been one of the hottest teams in college basketball over the past few weeks. They have a balanced attack that can score with anyone, and their defense has been improved as well. Iowa is our pick to make a deep run in the tournament.
4) Ohio State The Buckeyes are another team that has been playing its best basketball of late. They have a dynamic scoring duo in EJ Lidell and Duane Washington Jr., and their defense has been stout as well. Ohio State is our pick to make a surprise run to the Final Four.
Who Will Win the Final Four?
Now that the basketball season is in Full Swing it’s time to start thinking about the annual tournament that determines who will be crowned the national champion.
There are a lot of great teams out there, but only four will make it to the Final Four. So who will they be? Here are our picks:
Penn State
The Penn State Nittany Lions have been on fire lately, winning their last nine games in a row. With star player Tony Carr leading the way, they have a good chance of making a deep run in the tournament.
Duke
The Duke Blue Devils are always a force to be reckoned with in the NCAA Tournament They have one of the best players in the country in Marvin Bagley III and they always seem to find a way to win when it matters most.
Kansas
The Kansas Jayhawks are another team that is always near the top of the national rankings. They have experience and talent, and they will be tough to beat come tournament time.
Kentucky
The Kentucky Wildcats are another team with a lot of talent and experience. They have won eight games in a row, and they look like they could make a run at the title.
Our Picks for the Final Four
We’ve reached the final four of the NCAA Basketball tournament, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting finish to the season. Here are our picks for who will come out on top.
Penn State: The Nittany Lions have been one of the strongest teams in the country all season, and they’re only getting better as the tournament goes on. They have a good chance to make it to the final four, and we think they have what it takes to win it all.
Connecticut: The Huskies have been another strong team this season, and they’re Playing their best basketball right now. They have a tough matchup against Penn State in the semifinals, but we think they’ll come out on top and make it to the final four.
Duke: Duke has been one of the most consistent teams in the country all season, and they’re peaking at the right time. They should have no problem making it to the final four, and we think they have a good chance to win it all.
Why We Picked These Teams
In order to make our selections, we looked at a number of factors. First, we considered the quality of the team’s overall record. Then, we looked at the strength of their Conference Schedule Next, we took into account their performance in big games and against strong opponents. Finally, we weighed how the team has looked recently, both in terms of wins and losses and in terms of overall play. With all of these factors in mind, we came to our final four selections.
What Happens if Our Picks Lose
We all know the drill. We make our predictions for the NCAA tournament and then we wait to see how our picks fare. But what happens if our picks lose?
If your team loses in the first round, you’re out of luck. But if they make it to the Final Four and lose, you’ll still have a chance to win some money.
The way it works is this: if you pick a team to make the Final Four and they lose in the semifinals, you’ll get your money back (up to $100). And if you pick a team to make the Championship game and they lose in the finals, you’ll get double your money back (up to $200).
Of course, you can always just root for your team and hope they win it all. But if you’re looking to cash in on some March Madness these are the rules you need to know.
What Happens if Our Picks Win
If any of our four picks win the NCAA men’s Basketball Tournament we will be sure to let you know. We will also be sure to update this blog post with analysis of how they did it and what it means for their future.
