Third baseman Drew Ashley is another freshman who has made an immediate impact for IU. A right-handed hitter, Ashley is batting .333 with two home runs and 18 RBIs this season. He’s also played well defensively at third base, commits just two errors in 27 Games Played
Outfielders
The Hoosiers have a lot of talent in their outfield this year. All three starters are batting above .300 and have at least one home run The team’s leading hitter, sophomore outfielder Matt Lloyd, is batting .385 with five home runs and 19 RBIs. Junior outfielder Ryan Halstead is second on the team in batting average (.367) and leads the team with 21 RBIs. Sophomore outfielder Braden Lytle rounds out the starting outfield and is hitting .303 with one home run and 16 RBIs.
Catchers
