Introducing the UL baseball roster for the Upcoming Season

We are pleased to announce the UL Baseball roster for the upcoming season! This year’s team is looking very strong and we are excited to see how they perform.

The roster is as follows:

Pitchers:
– Michael Wacha
– Kevin Gausman
– Lance Lynn
– Wade Miley
– Shelby Miller
– Carlos Martinez
– Trevor Rosenthal
– Seth Maness
– Michael Blazek

Catchers: Infielders: Outfielders: utility players
– Yadier Molina – Matt Carpenter – Oscar Taveras – Kolten Wong – Jon Jay – Peter Bourjos – David Freese – Matt Holliday – Jhonny Peralta

The team will be managed by Mike Matheny and the Coaching Staff includes Derek Lilliquist, Bill Mueller, and Jose Oquendo. We wish them all the best of luck in the upcoming season!

Outfielders

The UL Baseball Roster for the upcoming season features some amazing outfielders for fans to watch. These athletes have been working hard all winter and are ready to take their talents to the field. Here is a list of the talented outfielders that will be gracing the rosters this season:

Ichiro Suzuki- This 10-time all-star and Gold Glove winner is one of the most decorated outfielders in baseball history He is sure to be a fan favorite on any team he plays for.

Bryce Harper- A young, up and coming outfielder, Harper has already made a name for himself in baseball. He is a 6-time all-star and was named the National League MVP in 2015.

Mike Trout- Another young outfielder, Trout is already considered one of the best players in baseball He has won multiple MVP Awards and is a 6-time all-star.

Infielders

The UL Baseball Roster for the upcoming season features several talented infielders. Here are some of the players to keep an eye on:

First baseman Matt Williams is a redshirt junior who transferred to UL from Iowa Western Community College Williams is a big player at 6-4, 225 pounds, and he hit .329 with 10 home runs and 41 RBIs last season for the Reivers.

Second baseman Braden Shewmake is a senior who was drafted in the 20th round by the Atlanta Braves last year but opted to return to school for one more season. Shewmake is a career .300 hitter and was named first-team All-Sun Belt Conference last year after hitting .324 with nine home runs 47 RBIs and 16 stolen bases

Shortstop Hunter Kasuls is a junior who was drafted in the 27th round by the Baltimore Orioles last year but also decided to return to school. Kasuls is a slick-fielding shortstop with a good arm who hit .293 with two home runs 25 RBIs and 12 stolen bases last season.

Third baseman Jake Sanford is a redshirt sophomore who missed all of last season due to injury but is healthy now and ready to contribute. Sanford hit .276 with two Home Runs and 19 RBIs as a freshman in 2016 and should be one of the team’s top run producers this season.
