Under Head coach Jack Stallings, the Eagles had their most successful run in program history, winning four straight conference titles from 1987-1990. Georgia Southern won back-to-back Southern Conference titles in 2000 and 2001 and made four straight NCAA Tournament appearances from 1999-2002. The Eagles have continued to be a force in the Sun Belt Conference, winning the regular season championship in 2005 and 2007 and the conference tournament title in 2006.
