1. Robert Puason, ss, Dominican Republic
Puason is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound shortstop who has already drawn comparisons to some of the game’s best shortstops, including Manny Machado and Carlos Correa. He’s an excellent defender with a strong arm and good range. At the plate, he has a very mature approach for his age and shows the ability to drive the ball to all fields with power. He’s expected to sign with the Oakland Athletics for a record-setting bonus in excess of $5 million when he turns 16 on Oct. 26.

2. JC Rodriguez, c, Venezuela
Rodriguez is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound catcher with a plus arm and plus power potential from both sides of the plate. He’s an advanced hitter for his age with a good feel for hitting and outstanding bat speed He also has a good chance to stay behind the plate defensively thanks to his strong arm and leadership skills. Rodriguez is expected to sign with the Atlanta Braves when he turns 16 on Nov. 3.

3. Pedro Leon, ss/2b, Dominican Republic
Leon is an athletic infielder with good speed and defensive abilities at both shortstop and second base. He has a strong arm and fairly good range defensively. At the plate, Leon shows good bat speed and some pop from both sides of the plate despite being just 5-foot-9, 160 pounds at present. He’s expected to sign with the Cleveland Indians when he turns 16 on Oct. 20.

Vasquez is a 6-foot pitchers who has already touched 96 mph with his fastball while also showing good feel for spin on his curveball and changeupr> At just 15 years old, he already has pitching coach written all over him once he hangs up his cleats due in large part to his advanced feel for pitching at such a young age > Vasquez is expected to sign with the Philadelphia Phillies when he turns 16 on Jan.<

1. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 3B, Toronto Blue Jays The son of a Hall of Famer, Guerrero Jr. lived up to the hype in his first full season of pro ball, hitting .381/.437/.636 with 20 home runs in 95 games between High-A andDouble-A. He’s now the consensus top prospect in baseball and should be up with the Blue Jays at some point this season.

2. Fernando Tatis Jr., SS, San Diego Padres Tatis Jr. also had a big 2018, hitting .286/.355/.507 with 22 homers and 16 stolen bases in 99 games between Double-A and Triple-A. He’s undersized for a shortstop at just 6-foot-0, 175 pounds, but he has the tools to be a star at the position. Tatis is currently injured (stress reaction in his lower back), but he should be back later this spring and is expected to start the season in Triple-A.

3. Eloy Jimenez, OF, Chicago White Sox Jimenez was one of the top prospects in baseball coming into 2018 and he did nothing to hurt his stock last year, hitting .337/.384/.577 with 22 homers in 108 games between Double-A and Triple-A. He’s currently sidelined with a pectoral injury, but he should be healthy by the time spring training ends. Jimenez is expected to start the season in Triple-A and could be up with the White Sox at some point this summer.

4. Nick Senzel, 3B, Cincinnati Reds The third overall pick in the 2016 draft, Senzel missed most of last season due to vertigo but he’s healthy now and ready to resume his climb up the prospect ranks. He hit .310/.378/.509 with 14 homers and 13 stolen bases in 2017 between High-A and Double-A and is one of the few true five-tool prospects in baseball. Senzel will start the season in Triple-A and could be up with the Reds at some point this summer.

5. Carter Kieboom, SS/2B, Washington Nationals A first round pick (28th overall) out of high school in 2016, Kieboom has hit .281/.349/.443 with 19 homers and 24 stolen bases in 118 games between Low-A and High-A over parts of two seasons. He’s still just 20 years old (he’ll turn 21 on April 3) but he has a chance to be an impact player at both shortstop and second base defensively while also providing solid offense at the plate
