The Trinity Tigers Baseball Team has released their schedule for the upcoming season The team will begin their season on February 28th with a game against Rider University. The Tigers will play a total of 34 games in the regular season with 17 of those being conference games.

Some of the opponents that the Trinity Tigers will face off against this season include conference rivals such as Bucknell University and Lehigh University The Tigers will also play non-conference opponents such as La Salle University and Temple University

The Trinity Tigers are looking to build off of their successful 2019 season in which they had a record of 18-16. The team is looking to make a push for the conference tournament and make a run at the NCAA tournament

The Trinity Tigers will be a force to be reckoned with this season

The Trinity Tigers are III baseball royalty. They have won five National Championships and 18 conference championships They have produced 12 Major League Baseball players, most notably Hall of Famer Lou Brock The team has an all-time record of 2,109-1,070-11, good for a winning percentage of .660 – the sixth best in NCAA DIII baseball history

This year’s team is looking to add to that legacy. They bring back eight starters from last year’s team that went 41-12 and reached the NCAA DIII World Series for the first time since 2014. They have also added some key newcomers that should make an immediate impact.

The Tigers have a solid mix of young and veteran talent. They will be led by seniors Jake Hershey ( infielder/pitcher), Connor Echols (outfielder), and Will Huang (pitcher). Jake is a three-time All-American and is Trinity’s career leader in hits, doubles, RBIs, and Total Bases Connor is a two-time All-American and was recently named the Preseason Player of the Year by D3baseball.com. Will was named First Team All-South region last year after going 9-2 with a 2.48 ERA.

The Tigers also have a talented group of newcomers that includes junior college transfer Brandon Kainer (outfielder) and freshman pitchers Mitchell Cody and Luke Rettig. Brandon was named a NJCAA Division III All-American last year after hitting .458 with 19 home runs and 68 RBIs at Herkimer County Community College Mitchell was ranked as the #1 recruit in the state of Texas by perfect game USA. Luke was ranked as the #5 recruit in the state of Missouri by perfect game USA.
