With the college baseball season getting underway, here are five Division III players to keep an eye on this year:

1. Cole Hamilton, OF, Linfield College
Hamilton is a two-time All-West Conference selection and is coming off a junior season in which he hit .344 with six home runs and 30 RBI. He is a team captain and will be looked upon to provide leadership for a young Linfield team.

2. Jake Stuursma, RHP, Central College
Stuursma was named the Iowa Conference Pitcher of the Year after going 8-0 with a 1.69 ERA last season. He will once again be the ace of the Central College pitching staff and will look to lead the Dutch to another conference title

3. Connor Jones C, Washington & Jefferson College
Jones is a three-time All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference selection and is coming off a junior season in which he hit .358 with eight home runs and 37 RBI. He is arguably the best all-around player in Division III and will be a key player for the Presidents’ as they look to defend their PAC title.

4. Matt Josselyn, OF, Bates College
Josselyn is a two-time All-NESCAC selection and is coming off a junior season in which he hit .370 with nine home runs and 32 RBI. He is one of the top hitters in Division III and will be counted on to provide some power for the Bobcats’ lineup.

5. Nolan Bender, RHP, Marietta College
Bender was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year after going 9-1 with a 1.93 ERA last season. He will once again anchor the Pioneers’ pitching staff as they look to win their fourth straight OAC title.
