Introduction
In 2015, the West Liberty baseball team made history by winning its first ever season game The team had come close in previous years, but never quite managed to get over the hump. That all changed in 2015, when the team put everything together and made a run to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II tournament.
Since then, the team has only continued to get better. In 2016, they won their first ever conference championship and in 2017 they made it all the way to the Elite Eight.
This year, the team is once again poised for a deep run in the postseason. Led by a talented group of seniors, the team is determined to take things one step further and make it to the Final Four.
With their sights set on making history, the West Liberty Baseball team is a team on the rise.
The Team’s History

The Team’s Home Field
West Liberty baseball plays its home games at Don Michael Field, located on the campus of West Liberty University in West Virginia The field is named after former head coach and Baseball Legend Don Michael. The team has seen a lot of success in recent years including a trip to the D-II College World Series in 2017.
The team’s home field is one of the best in D-II baseball. It features a brand new artificial turf playing surface, installed in 2016. The field also has a state-of-the-art lighting system that allows for night games
