Defensemen

The Boston University Hockey team is made up of some of the best young Hockey Players in the world. This season, they will be led by a strong group of defensemen. Here is a closer look at the team’s defensive core.

Goaltenders

In order to compete at the highest level a strong goaltending tandem is key. The 2020-2021 Boston University hockey team has just that, with two young and very talented goalies.

Sophomore goalie Owen Savory returns after a stellar freshman campaign in which he posted a .931 save percentage and 2.20 goals against average. He will once again be joined by freshman goalie Nico Daws, who comes to BU with a tremendous amount of hype and expectations. Daws was named the OHL Goaltender of the Year last season after posting a .935 save percentage and 2.10 goals against average with the Guelph Storm.

Both Savory and Daws are more than capable of starting in net for the Terriers, and it will be exciting to see how they perform this season.

The Boston University men’s hockey team will welcome seven freshmen to the program for the 2020-21 season, Head Coach Albie O’Connell announced on Tuesday.

The group is comprised of five forwards, one defenseman, and one goaltender.

“We are excited to welcome this incoming class of student-athletes to Boston University ” said O’Connell in a press release. “They are all great young men with a tremendous work ethic and we look forward to them representing BU Hockey both on and off the ice.”
