BU Hockey Announces 2019-2020 Schedule

The Boston University Hockey Team has announced their 2019-2020 schedule. The team will be facing some tough competition this season, but they’re looking forward to the challenge. Check out the full schedule below and make sure to catch a game or two!

2019-2020 regular season Schedule

The 2019-2020 Season will feature 29 regular season games, highlighted by 13 home games at Agganis Arena. The schedule is once again loaded with attractive match-ups, as seven of BU’s opponents reached the NCAA tournament last year. The slate also features four Hockey East foes who made it to the Frozen Four.

Clarkson and Colgate, who will be making their first ever appearances at Agganis Arena, highlight the non-conference portion of the schedule. The Golden Knights finished last season ranked No. 4 in the country, while the Raiders were ranked No. 12.

Other non-conference games include a home-and-home series with Army, a trip to Northern Michigan, and a game against Princeton at Madison Square Garden as part of the second annual Metropolitan Challenge cup.

Home Games

BU Hockey Announces 2019-2020 Schedule
The Boston University men’s Hockey Team announced its schedule for the 2019-2020 season on Wednesday, with the Terriers set to host 18 home games at Agganis Arena.

Highlighting the home slate are two games against defending National Champion Minnesota Duluth a conference matchup with Northeastern, and a pair of tilts against Holy Cross

In all, BU will host eight Hockey East opponents at Agganis next season. In addition to Northeastern and Holy Cross the Terriers will welcome UConn, Maine, Merrimack, New Hampshire, Providence and UMass Lowell

Away Games

The Terriers will start their season on the road, with their first game against UMass on October 11th. They’ll play a total of 23 away games this season, including trips to Boston College Northeastern, and Providence.

Pre-Season Schedule

The Boston University men’s Hockey team announced its 2019-2020 schedule on Wednesday, highlighted by a exhibition game against the University of Wisconsin on October 4 and the season opener against in-state rival UMass Lowell on October 11.

The Terriers will play a total of 34 regular-season games, 17 of which will be at home at TD Garden. BU will also face off against Hockey East opponents Northeastern, Providence, and Boston College four times each throughout the season.

Some other notable games include a rematch of last year’s Beanpot Championship game against Northeastern on December 6, a Home game against Hockey East powerhouses UMass Amherst on February 7, and the annual senior night game at Agganis Arena against Merrimack on February 21.

Post-Season Schedule

The Boston University men’s hockey team announced its post-season schedule on Tuesday afternoon, which includes a home game against Northeastern on Friday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. and a road game at UMass-Amherst on Saturday, March 7 at 7 p.m.

The Terriers (18-12-3, 12-9-3 HEA) finished the Regular Season in fifth place in Hockey East and will be the No. 5 seed in the Hockey East playoffs BU will face off against the fourth-seeded Huskies (16-15-5, 11-9-4 HEA) in the Opening Round of the conference tournament

If BU were to win its first-round matchup, it would advance to play top-seeded UMass (19-10-5, 15-5-4 HEA) in the Hockey East quarterfinals. The Minutemen swept BU in their lone meeting of the season back on Jan. 18 and 19 at Agganis Arena.

Ticket Information

The Terriers will open the season at home against Northeastern on Friday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be part of a Hockey East doubleheader, with the women’s team hosting Boston College at 5 p.m.

Tickets for all games will go on sale to the general public on Monday, September 16 at 10 a.m. Season tickets and mini-plans will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, September 18 at 10 a.m.

Game Times

The Boston University men’s hockey team has announced its Game Times for the 2019-2020 season. The schedule is highlighted by seven Friday Night games, four Saturday nights, and one Sunday matinee.

The first game of the season is set for Friday, October 11th at 7:30 p.m. against Mercyhurst University The Terriers will then hit the road for a pair of games, returning home on Saturday, October 19th to take on Dartmouth College at 7 p.m.

BU will play host to four Hockey East opponents at Agganis Arena this season. The first home conference game is against the University of New Hampshire on Friday, November 1st at 7 p.m. Other home league matchups include Saturday, November 2nd against the University of Massachusetts-Lowell (7 p.m.), Friday, December 6th versus Northeastern University (7 p.m.), and Saturday, January 11th against Merrimack College (7 p.m.).

Promotions

The BU Hockey Team has announced their promotional schedule for the 2019-2020 season. Highlights include “Paint the Rink Pink” to support Breast Cancer AwarenessBlack Friday Bargain” ticket discounts, and “Family Fun Day” with post-game autographs and photos with the team.

Broadcast Schedule

The Boston University men’s Hockey Team released its 2019-2020 schedule on Wednesday, which features 30 games, including 15 at historic Agganis Arena and a total of 11 against Hockey East foes. The Terriers will appear on television a total of 12 times this season, with eight games set to air on NESN and four more on ESPN+.

Highlighting the home portion of the schedule are tilts against national powers such as Denver (Nov. 8-9), Northeastern (Nov. 29-30) and Michigan (Dec. 6-7). The annual Beanpot Tournament will take place in February at TD Garden, with BU looking to hoist the trophy for the first time since 2015.
