The history of Wilmette Hockey
Wilmette hockey can trace its roots back to the late 1800s, when a group of Canadian immigrants founded the game in the small town of Wilmette, Illinois. The game quickly gained popularity in the Midwest, and by the early 1900s, Wilmette was considered the premier destination for hockey in the region. The town’s Hockey Team regularly played against teams from Chicago and other nearby cities, and they often came out on top.

As one of the top Youth Hockey programs in the Midwest, Wilmette Hockey is committed to providing our players with the best possible development experience. With over 20 years of experience, our coaching staff has helped countless players reach their full potential on and off the ice.
Looking to the future, we are excited to announce some changes that will further enhance the Wilmette Hockey experience. Starting with the 18-19 season we will be field teams at all levels from Mite (U8) through Midget (U18). This will allow us to better meet the needs of our growing player pool and provide a more seamless transition as players progress through our program.
In addition, we are happy to announce that we will be partnering with the Chicago Blackhawks Foundation to provide scholarship assistance for families in need. This partnership will enable us to provide even more opportunities for families to access our programs and give back to the community that has supported us for so many years.

Since our inception in 2001, Wilmette Hockey has become one of the premier youth hockey organizations in the Midwest. We offer programs for all levels of play, from beginner to advanced. Our Coaching Staff is comprised of experienced, registered USA Hockey coaches who are dedicated to helping our players reach their full potential.
We are proud to be part of the Wilmette community and are committed to giving back We offer free clinics and events throughout the year, such as our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, which benefits local families in need.
