AAU Basketball Tournament Format

The AAU basketball tournament is a National Tournament that takes place every summer. The tournament is open to any AAU-affiliated team, and there is no age limit The tournament is divided into two divisions: the Open Division and the 17-and-under Division. TheOpen Division is for teams made up of players who are 17 years old or older, while the 17-and-under Division is for teams made up of players who are 16 years old or younger.

Each division is further divided into four sub-divisions: the North, South, East, and West. The North and South are made up of teams from 15 different states, while the East and West are made up of teams from 14 different states.
