A Quick Rundown of the 2020 Belmont Baseball Roster

The 2020 Belmont Baseball roster is made up of some key returners, as well as some talented newcomers. Here’s a quick rundown of the team:

Pitchers:
-Seniors Max Burcham and Jack Riley will provide veteran leadership on the mound.
-Junior Nate Scruggs is back after a strong 2019 campaign, in which he led the team in wins (5) and ERA (2.48).
-Sophomore Blake Lyle will look to build on a strong freshman season in which he was named Second Team All-Conference.

Infielders:
-Senior first baseman Cole Maltinsky is the team’s leading returning hitter, after batting .305 with 5 home runs last season.
-Sophomore second baseman Jason Freeman is a versatile player who can also pitch. He had a breakout freshman year, batting .288 with 2 home runs and 19 RBI.
-Junior third baseman Ryan Ritz is a solid defender who will also contribute at the plate; he batted .273 with 1 home run and 17 RBI last season.
-Shortstop is a position battle between junior college transfer Thomas Stuart and freshman Luke Peabody. both players are outstanding defenders with plenty of upside at the plate.

Outfielders:
-Senior Left fielder Austin Sitten will be looking to Bounce Back after an injury-plagued 2019 season. when healthy, he’s a dangerous hitter with plenty of power (.276 avg, 6 HR in 2018).
-In center field, sophomore Sam Lindeman returns after a strong rookie campaign in which he batted .263 with 1 home run and 13 stolen bases
-Right field is another position battle, this one between junior Carter Pharis and freshman Hayden Hollingsworth. Both players are gifted hitters with plenty of power potential.

The 2020 Belmont Baseball Roster is here! Get to know your favorite player with this quick guide.

Pitchers:
– Number 22, Alex Fletcher, is a right-handed pitcher from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Fletcher was a key player on the 2019 Belmont team that went to the NCAA tournament
– Number 11, Jake Sauls, is a left-handed pitcher from Nashville, Tennessee. Sauls was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 2019 but chose to come to Belmont to play his final year of eligibility.

Catchers:
– Number 12, Tyler Solomon, is a catcher from Franklin, Tennessee. Solomon was named to the All-Freshman team in 2019 and is expected to be a key contributor again in 2020.
– Number 9, Hunter Holland, is a catcher from Brentwood, Tennessee. Holland transferred to Belmont from Middle Tennessee State University and will be eligible to play in 2020.

The Belmont Bruins are back and better than ever! Get to know the 2020 Baseball Roster which features some of the best young talent in the country.

Leading the way for the Bruins is senior pitcher Tyler Johnson who was named to the preseason All-American Team Johnson is joined by fellow seniors Jake Antonucci and Nick Egnite as team captains.

The Bruins will also be relying on some talented young players including freshman pitcher Jack McDonnell and sophomore infielder/outfielder Will Green. Green was named to the preseason All-American team as well.

Rounding out the roster are junior infielder/outfielder Matt Hudock, junior catcher Andrewlacek, sophomore pitcher Andrew Wright sophomore outfielder Chris Fagnant and freshman pitcher Ryan Costello

With such a talented and deep roster, the Bruins are poised for a big season in 2020!

2020 Belmont Baseball Roster Players to Watch

The Belmont Bruins have announced their 2020 baseball roster The team is made up of 30 student-athletes, 22 of which are returners from last year. Out of the 30 athletes, six are seniors, eleven are juniors, eleven are sophomores, and two are freshmen. The team is also made up of one pitcher and one catcher who are redshirt freshmen.

The roster includes infielders Nolan Mills (Sr.), Lucas Larin (Sr.), RyanGridley (Jr.), Chase Pinder (So.), and Matt Beaty (R-Fr.). The outfielders are senior Dan Harwood, junior Troy Squires, sophomores Zachary Gibbons and Jared Barnes, and freshman Cameron Flint.

The Bruins also have a strong pitching staff with returns like senior Nathan Jones, junior Devin Cochran-Fikes, sophomores Connor Quinn and Jack Cushing, and freshman Nick Perez. Newcomer Will McAffer will also compete for innings as a pitcher this season.

Coach Mosson enters his fourth season as the Head Coach of the Belmont baseball team 2020 will be a pivotal year for Coach Mosson and the team, as they look to make a return to the NCAA Tournament after missing out last year.

-May 15 vs. University of Florida (UF) on the road in Gainesville, FL. The team will need all the support it can get against last year’s College World Series champions.
