Head coach Ryan Soderquist enters his 11th season at the helm of the Bentley program and will have a veteran squad at his disposal. Senior forward Max French is the team’s leading returning scorer after tallying 17 goals and 21 assists last season. He’ll be joined by senior defenseman Steve Weinstein, who captained the Falcons last year and led all blueliners with 24 points (6G, 18A).

How the Bentley Hockey Schedule Works
The Bentley Hockey Schedule is designed to give each team the opportunity to play a fair and equal number of games. The schedule is set up so that each team plays every other team in their conference at least twice, with some teams playing three times. Each conference is made up of four divisions, and each team plays the other teams in their division first, followed by the teams in the other divisions in their conference.
The Different Types of Bentley Hockey Games
Whether you’re a Bentley hockey fan or just getting started, it’s important to know the different types of games that make up the schedule. Here’s a quick guide:
-Conference games: These are the most important games of the season, as they determine Bentley’s standings in the Northeast-10 Conference. Every team plays 18 conference games, 9 at home and 9 away.
-Non-conference games: These are typically less competitive than conference games, but they’re still important for Bentley’s overall record. The team usually plays around 10 non-conference games, 5 at home and 5 away.
-Exhibition games: Exhibition games are used to give players an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of coaches and scouts. They don’t count towards Bentley’s overall record.

The History of Bentley Hockey
Bentley hockey is one of the most tradition-rich programs in all of college hockey The Falcons have won six conference championships and have made seven NCAA tournament appearances in their history.
Bentley hockey began in 1969, when the school was known as Bentley College. The Falcons joined the Eastern collegiate athletic conference (ECAC) in 1970 and won their first conference championship in 1972. Bentley made its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1973 and reached the Final Four that year.
The Falcons won their second Conference Championship in 1975 and made back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances in 1976 and 1977. Bentley then endured a bit of a down period, failing to make the NCAA tournament from 1978-1982.
The Falcons rebounded with another conference championship in 1983 and made five straight NCAA tournament appearances from 1984-1988. Bentley then went through another drought, failing to make the NCAA Tournament from 1989-1995.
The Falcons finally returned to the NCAA Tournament in 1996 and have made five straight appearances since then. Bentley won its sixth conference championship in 2010 and has reached the NCAA tournament every year since then.
