This year’s tournament will be held from May 23-27 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City If you’re planning on attending, here’s what you need to know.
First and foremost, the Big 12 Baseball Tournament is a single-elimination event. That means that if a team loses, they’re out of the running for the conference title
The tournament will begin on Wednesday, May 23 with four first-round games. The top four seeds in the conference will receive a bye and will automatically advance to the quarterfinals. Those games will be played on Thursday, May 24.
On Friday, May 25, the semifinals will be held. The two winners of those games will advance to the Championship game on Saturday, May 26.
If necessary, a tiebreaker game will be played on Sunday, May 27 to determine the conference champion.
A total of eight teams will participate in this year’s tournament: Baylor, Iowa State Kansas, Kansas State Oklahoma, Oklahoma State TCU and Texas.
