The weight room and training facilities at Buena Vista University are first-class and among the best in Division III The staff is very professional and takes great pride in their work. They are always looking for ways to improve and get better.
The playing field at Buena Vista is also one of the best in Division III The infield is made up of premium artificial turf that drains very well and is almost never closed due to bad weather. The outfield grass is also some of the best in the conference.
The school has a brand new stadium that was built in 2013. It seats 1,500 people and has a state-of-the-art press box, concession stand and bathrooms. It is one of the nicest stadiums in Division III baseball

The Buena Vista baseball team has several rivals, but the two biggest are the Centralia Orioles and the Harrisburg Senators. These two teams have been battling it out for years, and the rivalry is only getting stronger. The Orioles are Buena Vista’s biggest rival and the games between these two teams are always heated. Although their overall record is not indicative of a top team in their conference, they did win 12 of their last 15 games. This recent stretch of solid baseball has given them confidence heading into the playoffs.
The first game of the post-season will be against conference rival, and (5) seed, Luther College This will be a best of three series with games being played on Friday, May 17th, Saturday, May 18th, and (if necessary) Sunday, May 19th. The times for these games have yet to be determined.
This will be the third meeting between these two teams this season with each team winning one game. The previous meetings were close affairs with each game being decided by two runs or less. This series is sure to be just as competitive and should be a great start to the post-season for Buena Vista baseball.
