About Cerro Coso Baseball

Cerro Coso Community college baseball is a Community College Baseball Team that competes in the National junior college Athletic Association’s Southwest Division The team is based in Ridgecrest, California, and plays its home games at Cerro Coso Memorial Stadium. The team is coached by Ryan Hege.

Highlights of the Cerro Coso Baseball Schedule

Cerro Coso Community College’s Coyotes will soon be back on the diamond for the 2019 season. Here are some highlights of their schedule:

The team will open up their season with a Home game against crosstown rival Bakersfield College on February 1st.

They’ll have a rematch of last year’s thrilling conference championship game against College of the Sequoias on February 8th, also at home.

Their first road game will be against Taft College on February 15th.

They’ll close out February with a three-game home stand against Modesto Junior College Merced College, and West Hills College Coalinga.

Cerro Coso Community College has released its Baseball schedule for the upcoming season The college will play a total of 36 games, with 27 of those being conference games. Cerro Coso is a member of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) and the Valley Conference

The season will begin on Saturday, February 1st with a doubleheader against Bakersfield College at Memorial Stadium. The first game will start at noon and the second game will follow at 3:00 pm.

The home opener is set for Monday, February 3rd against Taft College. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm.

Cerro Coso’s conference opener will be on the road against Los Angeles Valley College on Saturday, February 22nd. The doubleheader will start at noon.

The conference home opener is set for Tuesday, March 4th against Antelope Valley College. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm.

Some notable games on the schedule include a road game against Long Beach City College on Tuesday, April 8th and a home game against Porterville College on Saturday, April 12th. Long Beach City College is one of the top programs in Southern California and Porterville College is one of the top programs in Central California.

The Valley conference tournament will begin on Tuesday, May 6th with the top four teams in the conference playing in a double-elimination tournament. The tournament champion will earn an automatic bid to the CCCAA State Tournament which will be held May 16-17-18 at Bakersfield College Memorial Stadium.
